The story of a recovery

About Dynamic & Ingrid

Founded in 1931 in Sillans, Isère, by a group of innovation enthusiasts, Dynamic was the source of many of the discoveries that revolutionized alpine skiing.

In its golden age, this brand has always developed on the basis of two principles: proprietary technologies and significant investment in competition and its image. A strong axis, which has always been very important to Dynamic, is its local roots and "made in France". From the fiberglass-reinforced epoxy ski with elastic edges in 1968 on the VR17 to the Master Control System with the VR27, a major breakthrough in vibration absorption, Dynamic has always innovated its products (14 million francs in R&D in 1984).

Then there were the great sporting ambassadors who supported the brand, from Jean-Claude Killy to Carole Merle and Frank Piccard. At Dynamic, competition is an essential step in validating our products in the eyes of the general public. The distinctive sign on the tips of the two angled "bars or traces" make Dynamic skis visible to all. The DYNAMIC skis signature, with its distinctive "stick" typography, has stood the test of time and remained highly contemporary. Over the years, Dynamic's commitment to competition led to the development of the VR7, VR17 and VR27 skis, which went on to win an exceptional number of awards, making Dynamic a ski legend. Dynamic has also lived through more difficult years, bought out by its competitors.

At the time, its owner Amer Sport was about to be bought out by the Chinese company Anta Sport, which wanted to reduce its brand portfolio. Ingrid Menet was looking for a project that would enable her to reconcile her passion for sport and the mountains with her entrepreneurial spirit, and decided to apply.

Originally from the north of France, Ingrid Menet has built her professional career and personal challenges on a combination of high standards and excellence. These values are reflected in DYNAMIC's DNA. With 20 years' experience in the retail sector, including 17 years abroad (15 years in Madrid and 3.5 years in Buenos Aires), Ingrid comes from a family of entrepreneurs. Her dream has always been to set up her own business. A seasoned mountaineer, she has many ascents to her credit, including the Manaslu (Himalayas) at 8163m, without oxygen. It was during a humanitarian mission in Nepal that Ingrid heard about DYNAMIC, then owned by the Finnish Amer Sports group. Production was halted, and the brand promised to die a slow death...

Now back in France, Dynamic has risen from the ashes, following the same path as its founders.
